My child/I am a nightmare for photos. Can you help?
Probably. 😂
I’m patient, I’m good with kids (and yes you, I can be good to you too) and I’m not expecting a three-year-old to suddenly become a professional model because I’ve arrived with a camera.
We’ll play, chat, run around, have breaks and generally see what happens.
Do we have to behave?
Nope.
I’m not here to judge your parenting and I’m certainly not expecting children to sit still and smile on command.
If they’re running around, we’ll photograph that. If they’re cuddling you, we’ll photograph that. If they’re lying dramatically on the floor because you said no to something, I’ll probably photograph that too.
What if they’re really shy?
That’s fine! I won’t be forcing myself into their personal space going “COME ON, GIVE ME A SMILE!”
They can take their time. I’ll chat, play and let them get used to me. Usually they forget I’m there eventually. Or we’re besties.
What if they have a meltdown?
Then they have a meltdown. They’re children. It happens, even to neurotypical children, and I don’t discriminate those with different brains.
We’ll stop, have a cuddle, get a snack, change what we’re doing or just wait it out. I’m happy to take your lead too on how they might like to be calmed, or any triggers to avoid.
What will you wear?
This depends on the weather! I dress to be comfortable.
What should we wear? Is there a dress code?
Wear colours, patterns, dinosaurs, tutus, band t-shirts, your favourite dress or whatever your family actually wears… OR dress up - it’s totally up to you and depends largely on where we’re going and what we’re doing. I can chip in on advice when we chat if you’d like.
Can we bring the dog?
Yes.

How long have you had blue hair? Where did you get your glasses?
Bloody ages. Years! It’s become part of me and I love it. My friends describe me as “Hana-with-the-blue-hair”.
Glasses are Zeelool, snazzy eh? I’ve got them in different colours too…
Venues
Where do you photograph families?
At home, outdoors or at my studio in Alton, depending on the session.
I’m much more interested in somewhere your children are comfortable than finding the most Instagrammable field in Hampshire.
Do you travel?
Yep! Sessions within 10 miles of Alton are included. After that, I charge a simple mileage fee for the extra distance.
Do we have to pay extra to get all our photos?
Absolutely not. All my packages include all the photos. Well, all of the good ones. I don't mean the 47 photographs where someone blinked.
One price, with all your edited images included.
No three-tier package nonsense. No deciding whether you can afford the photo where your toddler actually smiled.
What happens if someone is ill?
We reschedule.
Please don't bring your poorly child to a photoshoot just because you feel bad about cancelling. I have a child too. I get it. Nursery/school germs are no joke.
